Popcorn chicken is popular worldwide though different regions have specific flavors. It shines on the menus of KFC, fast food joints, and restaurants with varied seasonings, herbs, and spices. One thing to be kept in mind is that the outer crust should be crunchy while the bite-sized chicken inside should be melt in the mouth and succulent. It is easy to make at home and bound to be a sure hit and addictive to both kids and family and the best starter option at parties. Serve crunchy popcorn chicken with French fries,fried potato wedges along hot and sweet chili garlic tomato sauce or schezwan sauce or any dips of choice.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Cut boneless chicken into small bite-sized cubes. After cleaning, add these pieces to a bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste and other ingredients under marinade. Mix well, cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
* Step 2
Mix all-purpose flour with cornflour. Add ground black pepper, red chili powder, garlic powder, and mix all. Beat an egg white till light and frothy. Add a tsp of cornflour and 1 tbsp cold water to it and beat well. Now with the help of a forklift a chicken cube from marinade shaking off extra liquid. Coat it with flour, cornflour spiced mix. Shake off extra flour and dip in the egg mix. Shake off extra egg mix and coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat the process by double coating each chicken cube.
* Step 3
Refrigerate for an hour to allow the coating to set. Heat oil in a wide pan or wok and deep fry in batches in medium to low flame till chicken is cooked through and there is a crunchy crust. Sprinkle some seasoning, garnish with a sprig of coriander and serve with lemon wedges, green chilies just before serving. Serve hot as an appetizer with french fries, fried potato wedges along with ketchup, or dips of choice.
