Crispy Mini Green Peas Chila

#GA4 #week22 #chila Green Peas Chila is a nutritious and healthy crispy savoury pancake which is best served in breakfast but can also be a delicious teatime snack.It also can be packed in kid's lunch box.It is rich in protein and fiber and very healthy.Other vegetables of choice may also be added.Serve these wholesome and nutritious Crispy Mini Green Peas Chila with mixed pickle ,hot and sweet tomato sauce or with curd.

green peas

1/2 tsp

chaat masala

1/4 tsp

fennel seed

1/4 tsp

asafoetida

2 tbsp

curd

To taste

salt

1 tbsp

oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Make a paste of green peas alongwith coriander,ginger paste and green chilli.Assemble all dry ingredients in a bowl except Eno.Add salt to taste.Mix all and add 2 tsp oil.

* Step 2

Add the ground paste, 1 cup water to make a thick batter.Cover and set aside for 20 minutes.Rava will soak up water.Add more water if needed to make a batter of pouring consistency. Adjust red chilli powder according to need.Add chopped onion,1 tsp chopped coriander,ajwain and fennel seed.Add Eno fruit salt just before making the chila.Give it a good mix.

Heat a non-stick snack pan by brushing oil.Add a ladleful of batter in each groove.Allow it to cook in low to medium flame.Flip it when one side becomes light brown and crispy.Drizzle few drops of oil by the sides of each chila and fry till crispy.

Serve hot healthy protein packed green peas chila or pancakes in breakfast or as a tea time snack with tomato sauce, mixed pickle or curd.
