Coconut ladoo or sweet balls made with coconut is a delicious melt in mouth royal sweet which is mostly made during the festive season of Dussehra, Raksha Bandhan,Diwali or any other festive occasion.It gains its richness with the addition of rabri or kheer,khowa,condensed milk or malai.Cardamom powder enhances the flavour.Saffron may be added,but optional.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Grate coconut and set aside.Make sure to grate the white portion of coconut.Boil milk in a pan in low flame till reduced to thick kheer or rabri.
* Step 2
Heat a non-stick pan and pour the grated coconut in it. Mix sugar in it and stir continuously so that the mix doesn't caramelize and change colour. Add the rabri and toss till all moisture evaporates.
* Step 3
Add cardamom powder, mix well and set aside till partially cool. Smear little ghee on both palms and shape into small to medium round balls or ladoos.The mix should be completely tight to form into balls otherwise they may fall apart while making ladoos. Refrigerate and serve delicious ladoos with kheer or rabri as a dessert after meals.
