Crispy Potato Balls

# diwali A tasty snack to be enjoyed with a cup of hot coffee or tea,or serve simply as a starter.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Quarter potatoes and steam or boil them.Mash when cool.Add red chilli powder,garam masala,salt and sugar to taste,ginger paste and mash well.Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok and fry finely chopped onion.When transparent,add chopped green chillies and lightly fry.Then add the mashed potato and chopped coriander and fry golden brown.Set aside to cool.

* Step 2

Make a light batter with cornflour and maida. Make small balls out of the fried mashed potato.Dip the balls in batter and roll in bread crumbs.

* Step 3

Set aside in fridge for an hour.Heat oil and fry balls in batches.Serve with hot and sweet tomato sauce.
