Mint Paratha

#paratha - Bored with the usual Parathas ? Try this yummy and aromat Mint Paratha and relish it with any side dish, yoghurt, butter or pickle. It is not only easy and simple to make but a very healthy and nutritious breakfast and snack item. Have it hot right out of the tawa for an unforgettable experience. They also serve as a perfect lunch box meal too.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a bowl, combine atta, salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, green chilies, ginger, 1 tbsp; oil and 1 cup mint leaves. Knead into a soft dough with required quantity of water. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes.

* Step 2

Divide into 4 equal portions. Roll out each portion into a circle by dusting some flour. Smear some oil over the surface and sprinkle some chopped mint leaves and flour.

* Step 3

Fold into a semi circle and smear with oil & a sprinkle of mint leaves and flour. Fold into a triangle.

* Step 4

And roll out. Make similar parathas with remaining dough.

* Step 5

Heat a tawa / griddle and shallow fry the parathas one at a time by smearing some oil. Fry on both sides till light golden brown. Serve with any side dish, accompanied with onion, chilies and lemon.
