Singaporean Sweet And Sour Chicken

#chicken appetizer - It is the most favoured dish in all hawker centres across the country. Very easy and simple to make, it hardly takes any time to dish out this delicacy. So dig into this yummy party appetizer and enjoy.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Marinate the chicken with egg, salt, pepper, cornflour and chilli flakes for 2-3 hours. Heat 2 tbsp. oil in a pan and saute the chicken till light brown. Drain and keep aside.

* Step 2

Heat remaining oil and saute the garlic for a few seconds till they change colour. Now add the onion and saute for a minute.

* Step 3

Then add the diced bell peppers and the spring onions. Fry on high heat for a further minute.

* Step 4

Add the salt, pepper, chilli sauce and sugar. Give it a stir to combine well. Then add the fried chicken and mix well. Saute for a few seconds, before serving, garnished with spring onions.
