Homemade Cottage cheese
#immunebooster [Theme:"citrus"] Making cottage cheese from scratch is actually easier and cheaper than I thought!! It's my first time making it but it turned out very soft, creamy and delicious!
Cooking instructions
* Step 2
Pour milk into a saucepan and heat until it becomes very hot(around 60℃). Be careful not to boil. Once it becomes hot, remove the saucepan from heat.
* Step 3
Add 50ml of lemon juice and stir well until the hot milk separates into the curds and whey. Cool down for a while. Prepare a large bowl, put a smaller strainer on it and cover with a clean cloth. Pour the curds and whey through a sieve to catch the curds.
* Step 4
Squeeze the cloth. You can use whey to soups, stews, smoothie, or many other ways as it is full of protein, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.
* Step 5
Wash the cloth with curds in water for 3 times(change water in a bowl). Squeeze the cloth after washing.
* Step 6
Put the cards into a bowl, add a pinch of salt and mix well. You can use this cottage cheese for salad, pasta, bread or any other thing!! Enjoy.
