Old Bay 🦀
Ahhhh ... I remember my family in NYC would buy blue crabs and beer and we would feast until our fingers were raw!
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Place crabs in sink and cover with bag of ice. It kinda paralyzes them and is considered more humane! You will hear them in the pot if you don’t! And.... they won’t have to fight for their life to go into the pot.. they’re alive!
* Step 2
Get huge pot.... huge! And fill will cold water. Begin to boil water on high and add in 1/2 cup old bay.
* Step 3
Once water is boiled add crabs. They will seem limp/ dead... but when you place them in the water. They will move slightly. Once the crabs go from a blue/gray to bright orange or red they are ready to add the beer. Turn the water down to simmer.
* Step 4
Melt stick of butter and add in tsp of old bay. Remove crabs from pot lay in rectangular dish... spoon butter over the crab...sprinkle with parsley and extra Old Bay and you’re ready to dig in!
