Lemon Cake

This cake is so soft and moist! It's not overly sweet nor is it too sour. I know it looks like cornbread but I assure you it's not ^^

Ingredient

1/2 teaspoon

baking powder

65 g

water

1 teaspoon

honey

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

For the cake: melt butter in a microwave. Whisk in the sugar. Grate in the lemon zest. Add in the eggs one at a time. Mix in the lemon juice

* Step 2

Sift in flour, salt and baking powder. Don't overmix

* Step 3

Pour in a greased and lined baking pan. Bake at 160°C for about 55 min

* Step 4

Meanwhile, make the syrup: combine sugar, lemon juice and water in a small saucepan. Let syrup boil for a minute on high heat. Take off heat and mix in the honey

* Step 5

Pour the syrup over the warm cake. Let cool completely and enjoy :)
