Caramelised Sweet Onions
loved the sweetness of this dish. if you want it less sweet just omit some of the sugar.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Peel and Slice the onions.
* Step 2
In a frying pan heat the olive oil on high.
* Step 3
Reduce the heat to just above a medium heat, and add the onions.
* Step 4
Add almostly immediately after the onions the sugar, black pepper and salt.
* Step 5
Add the sherry once onions are soften. Takes about 5 minutes.
* Step 6
Cook for about 20-25 minutes stirring often.
* Step 7
Serve with bread or as a side
