Banana Jaggery Ghee Malpua

Banana Jaggery Ghee Malpua

#holisweets Holi is incomplete without making the traditional sweets 'malpuas'. Malpuas are the one of most important sweet dish in holi. I made Banana jaggery malpuas which are most flavourful and are also healthy one. I use wheat flour instead of using all purpose flour and Jaggery instead of using sugar.

Ingredient

Food ration :

5 servings

Cooking time :

15 minutes
1 1/2 tsp

semolina

1/2 tsp

fennel seeds

5-6 tsp

ghee

2 tsp

honey

1/2 tsp

salt

1/2 cup

jaggery

1 cup

water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Assemble all the ingredients together.

* Step 2

Mix all the ingredients together for making the batter.

Heat a pan and add ghee in it and then add a ladle of that batter in it and shallow fry them one after another.

Cook both sides till golden brown.

Prepare all the malpuas by shallow frying.

In the meantime put a pan on the gas stove with water and then add the Jaggery in it.

Boil it for 5-6 minutes and prepare the jaggery syrup (no need of any consistency).

Put all the malpuas in it one after another (just dip them for 1 minute and then remove them).

Now your Malpuas are ready. Garnish with some splitted cashew nuts and pistachios and serve.
