Personal twist of Coffee Apple Pie
my personal recipe for apple filling. very aromatic with cocoa and coffee flavour. My kids don't like the normal pie filling because there is a-bit sourish to it, so I come out with this twist to make it bit cocoa coffee flavour. Happy try. My kiddo love them

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Sauteed your apple slices with butter, until it get wet and moisture. Add in your honey or gula apong, sugar, salt, and coffee.
* Step 2
Mixed and sauteed it all until very soft and wet. I like mine not too soggy and bit crunch. then add cornstarch water for thickening purpose.
* Step 3
As you can see the colour is so beautiful and apple become soft. set it aside to cool down. never put hot pie filling inside your cold pastry skin.
* Step 4
Set up your pastry skin and pan. pour in apple pie filling. I use egg yolk for wash. to get the yellowish golden colour. and baked for 30m in 220 celcius. I actually gradually decrease the temperature so my pastry dont get burn. but well cooked. Depend on your oven. Happy try. my kids love this apple pie.something different because they dont like the sourish taste.
