Orange bundt cake

My kids won't eat oranges with seeds. Unfortunately, I found out after I bought a bunch navel oranges on sale. So I did what any baker would do with an over abundance of oranges, make an orange bundt cake with an orange glaze. Even though this recipe uses all parts of the orange, there were no seeds in it so my kids were happy.

Ingredient

1/2 cup

sugar

1 tsp

vanilla

3/4 cup

milk

3 cups

flour

1 tsp

salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a stand up mixer, cream sugar and butter.

* Step 2

Add in eggs, vanilla, and 1/3 cup oj.

* Step 3

In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients.

* Step 4

Add orange zest and flour mixture, and mix until smooth.

* Step 5

Bake at 350 for 60-75 minutes, or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.

* Step 6

Meanwhile make syrup with 1/2 cup sugar and juice. Mix together in a small sauce pan, on low heat, until clear and the consistency of syrup.

* Step 7

When cake comes out paint or drip syrup over cake.

* Step 8

After cake is cool mix the powdered sugar with the 2 Tbs oj to create a glaze.

* Step 9

Ice the cake with the glaze. Add a few pieces of zest for decoration.

* Step 10

Side note* I have made this same orange cake but with a lime glaze and syrup. Then sprinkled with Margarita salt to create a Margarita cake.
