Dawood Basha (middle eastern meatballs)

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

For the meatballs: 1. In a bowl, add ground beef, onion, garlic, black pepper, Garam masala, cinnamon, salt, coriander leaves, mix them well. Form it into small balls shape. 2. Heat a little bit of oil in a non stick skillet. If the oil is already hot enough, add the meatballs and fry it until brown on all sides, and set it aside.

* Step 2

For the sauce: 1. In a cooking pot, heat 2 tbsp oil, and saute onions until fragrant. 2. Add the carrot, and paprika. Stir it well for 2 minutes. 3. Stir in tomato puree and tomato paste. 4. Add the beef stock, stir it, and bring it to a boil. 5. Add the meatballs, and cook it until the sauce thickened, and the meatballs well done.

* Step 3

For the rice: 1. Wash basmati rice, and place it in a cooking pot. 2. Add 2 cup of water, bring it to a boil. Let it cook until all the water is almost absorbed. 3. If the water is almost absorbed, add a little bit of salt, cover it, and cook the rice until well done.

* Step 4

NOTE :You can add more seasoning to the sauce if you like (½ teaspoon Garam masala, ½ teaspoon black pepper, ¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder)
