salt

1/2 tsp

jeera

1 cup

maida

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a bowl take butter and melt it in microwave but do not heat it. Sieve & add powdered sugar and whisk well.

Add in baking powder, salt, jeera and followed by egg. Combine everything well.

Sieve maida to the bowl and gather to a soft dough. Keep the dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes if the dough is very soft and butter oozing out.

* Step 4

Preheat the oven at 180 degC for 10 minutes. Divide the dough into 12 equal size balls. Press between your palms to give a round shape. If the balls are breaking, roll tight in between your palms and then press. Arrange on a greased baking tray, sprinkle jeera on top of each biscuit and press lightly.

Bake it in the oven at 180 degC for 20-25 minutes until the base and edges are golden. Let it cool down completely and store in airtight container.

Jeera biscuits are ready to be enjoyed with tea/coffee.
