Lebanese style pasta with yogurt and garlic sauce
I’m writing the recipe as I’m eating it for lunch right now and I’m wondering why I’ve never cooked it since I’ve moved to the UK 3 years ago.
Ingredient
Food ration :
2 servings
Cooking time :
15 minutes
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Bring salty water to boil and cook the pasta for 9 minutes (or read instructions on the pack)
* Step 2
While the pasta is cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, garlic, salt and 50ml of pasta water in a bowl. The texture should be smooth and slightly liquidy, but not too runny. (See picture for reference)
* Step 3
Add the dried mint and mix again.
* Step 4
When the pasta is cooked, drain the water and add a drizzle of olive oil off the heat. Toss slightly to make sure each pasta piece is covered with oil. ❗️if you use butter then the heat of the pasta will help it melt. No need to put over the heat again.
* Step 5
Pour the sauce over. Stir to combine the flavours. Serve and enjoy! I added a pinch of sumac on top.
