Crispy Za’atar Bread
This is a common bread from Lebanon 🇱🇧 and Palestine 🇵🇸 and it’s believed to be the best thing you’ll ever have in the world! 😋
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Mix all the dry ingredients into a bowl (flour, thyme leaves, salt and sugar)
* Step 2
Add half a cup of olive oil then start adding the water gradually while mixing with the other hand until we get a nice rounded dough
* Step 3
Add the rest of the olive oil and continue to mix the dough again
* Step 4
Now cut the dough into small rounded balls, around 3 cm in diameter
* Step 5
Using a rolling pin roll the dough into disc shapes
* Step 6
Brush the tray with olive oil and place the rolled discs on it
* Step 7
Put the tray in an oven preheated at 200c for about 5-10 min (until the texture of the bread is crispy)
* Step 8
Personally I prefer to make them on the sandwich toaster to make sure that they’re crispy on both sides (they’ll look sexier this way as well 😍)

... and TADAAA 🎉 you’ll have the yummiest zaatar bread!
* Step 10
You can serve this for breakfast with cheese or Labneh (creamy strained yogurt) and a cup of tea 🍵 it’s also perfect as a midday snack👌🏻
