Rasam is a nutritious, soothing and satiating soup from South India.
There are many variations from region to region and every household but one the most popular variants of Rasam relished across the country and out of the country too is the pungent and peppery Tomato Rasam.
It can be relished with rice or savoured after a meal. I can have 2-3 bowls of Rasam at one time
Ingredient

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak imli/ tamarind first for tamarind water. Prepare and collect other ingredients.
Dry roast and Powder the roasted spices.
* Step 2
Now in kadhai, add and heat ghee add mustard seeds, when it splutters add chopped tomatoes, stir and add imli water,haldi,salt.
Let it boil slowly till the raw smell goes and tomato gets cooked.
* Step 3
Now add the dry roasted powdered spices, add 1 cup water and boil on high flame once,put off and add chopped coriander leaves. Enjoy !
