* Step 1

Peel and cut the fresh Turmeric into small pieces and grind it along with little milk till it forms a fine paste in a mixie or mortar and pestle then add it into the remaining milk in a pan / pot along with gur/sugar and cook till it simmers.

Your Turmeric Latte / Golden milk aka Haldi wala Dudh is ready to be served. Pour it in a glass and sprinkle it with cinnamon powder or cardamom powder (optional).
