Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak sabudana overnight, in water, just immersing the pearls. As the sabudana becomes soft, strain any extra water.
* Step 2
Mash some of the sabudana, it gives nice thickness to the kheer.
* Step 3
Next take a heavy bottom pan, put milk to boil. As milk boils, take sabudana and let sabudana get cooked and become transparent.
* Step 4
Sabudana is cooked and milk quantity gets reduced. Now add grated khoya. Let khoya melt and combine with milk and sabudana.
* Step 5
Add crushed cardamoms/ vanilla essence. Add a pinch of salt. Add ghee fried cashews and kishmish. Mix all well.
* Step 6
As sabudana is nicely cooked, add sugar. Let kheer be on slow flame. Keep on stirring so that kheer doesn't get burnt. Add ghee and mix.
* Step 7
Add strands of kesar. Mix.This gives a nice flavour and yellow colour to the kheer. Lastly add some more ghee,it gives a nice shine.
* Step 8
