* Step 1
Arrange and assemble the ingredients first for convenience.
* Step 3
Heat oil in kadhai and splutter ponch phutan. Add chopped onion, garlic and green chillies. Saute till aromatic and onion translucent.
* Step 4
Mix chopped tomatoes and cook till softened. Add dry mango to enhance the taste of the curry.
* Step 5
Add the water as needed and mix well the mustard paste along with the boiled vegetables. Bring to boil. Then add the fried hilsa fish and cook in the gravy for a minute. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve with steamed rice.
