An interesting and unique recipe using leftover cooked rice blended with leftover mixed daal. Leftover Daal Chawal, you can also call it Khichdi, can be prepared in a jiffy.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat oil and splutter cumin seeds.

* Step 2

Add onions and cook till light brown.

* Step 3

Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.

* Step 4

Add daal, rice and mix well.

* Step 5

Add water, bring to boil, cover and simmer to desired consistency.
