Custard powder cake
A moist, colourful and beautifully textured cake with the added flavour boost of custard powder in the mix. This Custard Powder Cake is similar to pound cake in taste and texture.
Custard Powder is a flavoured thickening agent used to make desserts.a Custard powder isn't a standard ingredient for a cake, but this one is yummy. I have used Vanilla flavour for this cake. Feel free to use the flavour you love. You can even add some candid fruit or nuts in the batter. I topped it with sliced almonds.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Preheat oven 350F, Grease and line a springform pan and set aside.
* Step 2
In a blender add the eggs, sugar and oil and blend till smooth and light.
* Step 3
Pour the mixture in a bowl and sift in the dry ingredients. Mix well.
* Step 4
Add the milk in three parts, mixing well with each addition.
* Step 5
Add the food colour, if using, and mix well.
* Step 6
Pour the batter in the prepared pan.
* Step 7
Top with sliced almonds and bake for 45 minutes or till skewer inserted in centre comes out clean.
* Step 8
Remove and cool in pan for 5 minutes then completely cool on wire rack.
Slice and serve.
