Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First, dry roast the lentils on slow flame for 10 minutes. Cool and grind to a smooth powder and keep ready. Also slow roast the spices for 2 minutes and grind to a powder.
* Step 2
Heat ghee in a deep kadhai/ wok and slowly fry the gum till it puffs up. Reserve in a plate. Then add 1 tablespoon of ghee to the wok and slowly fry all the nuts.
* Step 3
Oven roast the desiccated coconut for 1 minute. Grind the nuts and gum to a coarse powder. Now add 2 tablespoon of ghee and roast the lentil flour till aromatic.
* Step 4
Then add jaggery powder, milk powder, nuts and gum powder and mix well. Add milk and keep stirring till mixture swells up.
* Step 5
Add rest of the ghee, spice powder, mix well and pour the mixture in a greased and lined tray.
* Step 6
Sprinkle dessicated coconut and press well. Set for 4 to 5 hours. Then cut into desired shapes and enjoy!
