Sago Kalakand kheer

Holi colours are all around, even the desserts we make have become so colourful! I decided to try out something innovative with sago and made a combination of kalakand and sago kheer. Cooking instructions

* Step 1

First, wash the sago 2 to 3 times. Heat milk in a heavy bottom pan on low flame.

* Step 2

When it reaches boiling stage, add the sago pearls slowly and keep stirring.

On another stovetop, melt the jaggery in water and when it reaches boiling stage, switch off and cool to room temperature.

* Step 4

Cook the sago till it is transparent and soft. Then add the curd and cook till it's thick and grainy.

Then add the jaggery syrup, carda

* Step 6

Remove from stove, pour in serving bowls. Garnish with nuts and cherries. Serve hot or chilled. Enjoy.
