A popular and easy to make Bengali style appetizer/snack. These fish fingers are well suited for any occasion, party or can also be served as an evening snack.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cut the fish fillets into strips. Do not make them too thin or too thick.

* Step 2

Make a smooth paste out of ginger, garlic, green chilies, coriander leaves and water.

* Step 3

Add some salt, black pepper powder, that green paste, some sugar and lemon juice to the fish strips.

* Step 4

Mix well and keep them aside for 2 hours.

* Step 5

Spread all-purpose flour on a plate, now take one fish strip and roll it lightly in flour.

* Step 6

This process will help the marination to stick to the fish.

* Step 7

Do the same thing with rest of the fish strips.

* Step 8

After that you will see some excess marination will remain in that bowl. Mix it with the eggs.

* Step 9

Mix some salt and pepper to the breadcrumbs.

* Step 10

Now dip one flour coated fish strip in the egg.

* Step 11

Then coat it well with breadcrumbs.

* Step 12

Put that breadcrumb coated fish on a flat surface then start rolling with the palm of your hand for a minute. Then you will get perfectly coated fish finger.

* Step 13

Keep the coated fingers in fridge for 15-30 minutes.

* Step 14

After that fry them in medium hot oil for 5-7 minutes or until they become golden in color.

* Step 15

Then take them out in a tissue paper to absorb excess oil.

* Step 16

Sprinkle some chaat masala all over them and serve hot. You could have the fingers with raw tea also.
