Pumpkin Puri With Raita

Ingredient

asafoetida

as per taste

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat a pan,add 2 tbsp oil.Add cumin seeds and asafoetida,add chopped onion.Fry till golden.

* Step 2

Add ginger -garlic paste,saute for 2 minutes.Add all dry spuces,saute for a minute.

* Step 3

Add pumpkin and salt,add 1/2cup water.Cover and cook for 7-8minites till pumpkin is soft.Take out and let it cool.

* Step 4

Grind to a smooth paste.Add wheat flour,mix.Add flour in batches and add the desired quantity.I added 1.5 cups of wheat flour.Make a smooth dough.

* Step 5

Apply a little oil on dough Cover and leave for 10 minutes.

* Step 6

After 10 minutes,make puris and fry till golden.

* Step 7

For raita,whisk the curd add cumin powder and red chilli powder with salt.Blend and add 1/2cup water.

* Step 8

Mix well,garnish with cumin powder.Serve with pumpkin pooris.With the pumpkin pooris we do not neet any curry as side dish.So enjoy the pooris with raita/pickles /chutney.
