Double Decker Pista Burfee
An easy homemade sweet for festive seasons.
Ingredient
Food ration :
4 persons
Cooking time :
15 minutes.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Heat ghee in a pan, add maida and saute for 3-4 mins on low flame.
* Step 2
Put off flame and keep aside.
* Step 3
Heat another pan, add sugar and 1/2 cup of water.
* Step 4
Boil and stir for 4-5mins till a string syrup is done.
* Step 5
Add roasted maida and mix it well. Add milk powder and cook on low flame till ghee leaves the pan surface.
* Step 6
Put off flame and add kewra water and mix well.
* Step 7
Now divide maida into 2 portions. Add pistachio powder to one part and green food colour also. The food colour will give a bright colour to our sweet.
* Step 8
Grease a steel tray. Spread the first part on tray making 1/2 inch thick sheet. Spread the sheet evenly.
* Step 9
Now spread pistachio layer over first layer.Add chopoed nuts over and press a little.
* Step 10
Leave the tray for 10 minus to set.
* Step 11
Cut burfees into your desired shape.
* Step 12
Enjoy with your family and friends.
