Thermomix: carrot and ginger soup
With the cold weather still among us, we decided it's time to explore some nice, warming soups.
This one is made entirely with the Thermomix, although a stovetop version can easily be deduced, using a blender and a medium-sized pot.
For the Thermomix: indications are given in the format: time/temperature/speed. For example: 20m/200/4 means 20 minutes at 200°F, speed 4

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Place onion and butter in the mixing bowl, process 20s/0/5 to get the mushy mix pictured. Then cook 10m/250/1
* Step 2
In the meantime, peel your carrots and cut them in medium-sized pieces.
* Step 3
Add water, carrots, ginger, cream, salt and pepper to the bowl, and cook 20m/200/2
* Step 4
Once cooked, blend 1m/0/5-9 (start at speed 5 and gradually increase to 9)
* Step 5
If you want, you can put some cubed Monterey Jack cheese in the plates...
* Step 6
Serve and garnish with cream and dried parsley. Enjoy!
