Ingredient

Food ration :

6 hours
1 . 5 ltr

Full cream milk

2 tbsp

desi ghee

Few

kaju

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Firstly grate all gajar nicely, keep aside.

* Step 2

Take a pressure cooker, add all the grated gajar & 1/2 ltr milk.

* Step 3

Place the lid, give 1 whistle at high flame.

* Step 4

Turn off the flame, allow it depressurize naturally.

* Step 5

Take a big wok now, transfer boiled gajar along with the milk into the wok.

* Step 6

Turn on the flame, give a stir.

* Step 7

Add the rest of the milk, lower the flame, stir it for a minute.

* Step 8

Cook it until it becomes dry, keep stirring intermittently. It takes quite a good time.

* Step 9

Now add sugar & elaichi powder, stir fry it until dry. The Colour of the halwa will change from yellow to red.

* Step 10

Now add ghee, stir fry it for 5 minutes. Do not overcook it.

* Step 11

Turn off the flame, cover it for a minute.

* Step 12

Take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with Kaju. You can use any dry fruit of your choice.

All cooking has been done on low flame.
