Authentic Masala Dosa

Ingredient

2 cups

Rice

1 cup

Urad Dal

as per taste

Salt

as required

curry leaves

2 tsp

Oil

as needed

Turmeric powder

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak dal and rice separately overnight. Grind them with water into a smooth paste. Mix both of them together nicely. Add salt as required and keep the batter aside for sometime to ferment.

For stuffing, heat oil in a pan. Crackle mustard seeds and hing. Add chana dal and urad dal and let it cook for a while.

* Step 3

Then add green chillies, turmeric powder, and mashed potatoes. Add salt and give a good mix. Add chopped coriander and the stuffing is ready.

* Step 4

Grease your nonstick skillet. Pour a ladle full of batter.. Spread it evenly and let your dosa cook from one side. Spread your stuffing in between.

* Step 5

Serve your dosa hot with sambhar and your favourite chutneys.
