Ragi and Cashew Modak

Ragi and Cashew Modak

Ingredient

1/2 cup

ragi flour

1/4 cup

semolina

4 tbsp

ghee

1/2 cup

jaggery

1 cup

water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan. Add the semolina and dry roast.

* Step 2

Add the ragi flour in the same pan and dry roast till you get a nutty smell. Transfer the roasted mixture to a bowl and let it cool.

* Step 3

Now take 1 cup water in a pan and add 1/2 cup jaggery into it. Cook till all the jaggery melts. Add 1/2 tsp cardamom powder into the jaggery water.

* Step 4

Now add the roasted ragi and semolina mixture in the melted jaggery and cook till all the liquid is soaked up.

* Step 5

Now add the chopped cashews and 2 tbsp of ghee and let it cool.

* Step 6

Once the mixture is cooled shape them in modak molds and serve.

* Step 7

Healthy ragi and cashew modak are ready to Serve.
