Makhana Panjiri

Panjiri is made as a prasad in Janmashtami, which is made with makhana, ghee, powdered sugar and nuts.

Ingredient

Food ration :

3-4 tbsp

ghee

2 tbsp

melon seed

2 tbsp

raisins

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a pan heat 2 tbsp of ghee. Add makhana. Roast in low flame. When they are crisp and light golden in colour. Then take it out from the pan. Let it cool.

* Step 2

In the same pan heat ghee. Then roast the melon seed, chopped almond, raisins, chopped cashew nuts on low flame. After a minute take it out from the pan.

In the same ghee add desiccated coconut. Roast for one minute and take it out from the pan.

Now in a mixer grinder grind the makhana to a coarsely powder.

Now in a bowl put all the ingredients I.e makhana powder, desiccated coconut, melon seed, almond, cashew nuts raisins, pistachio, cardamom powder and powdered sugar. Mix well and serve.
