Dal Palak

Dal Palak or Spinach Dal is a very simple yet delicious Indian dish made with lentils, spinach, and seasoned with few spices. This is my family’s all time favourite. #boxweek7 #themystryboxebookcjallenge #shipitandon #staysafe

Ingredient

Food ration :

4-5 people

Cooking time :

35-40 minutes
1 cup

chana dal

1/2 cup

dhuli moong

1/2 inch

ginger grated

1 tsp

Jeera

2 tablespoon

desi ghee

as per taste

Salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak chana dal for 30 minutes then take dhuli moong and cook in pressure for 2-3 whistles then sim the gas for 10 minutes. Keep aside the dal.

* Step 2

Take another pan add ghee, jeera, garlic, ginger, green chilli and onion. Fry for 2-3 minutes after that add tomatoes and fry for another 2-3 minutes then add palak and fry for another couple of minutes.

* Step 3

Add salt and then add dal and kitchen king masala. Take a small tadka pan add ghee then jeera and dry red chilli and pour the tadka on dal. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with besan or missi roti.
