#GA #week13 This recipe is a famous dish at Puri Sri Jagannath Temple. One of the Bhog out of 56 (Chappan) bhog. Today I share this Arahar / Tuvar / Toor dal recipe.

Ingredient

Food ration :

4 servings

Cooking time :

1 hour
1 cup

Tuvar dal

4 1/2 cup

water

to taste

Salt

1 tbsp

ghee

2 tbsp

jaggery

1/4 tsp

asafoetida

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat water in a clay kadai then add one by one all the ingredients.

Then stir it, cover and cook on slow flame for 1 hour.

* Step 3

Stir it in every intervals, when dal is soft and tender thick consistency, add little ghee and keep aside. Then serve with steamed rice.
