Ingredient

sugar

30 g

honey

5 g

salt

25 g

sultanas

200 ml

warm milk

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Assemble your ingredients and measure them appropriately.

Pour milk into a cup and stir in the yeast and the sugar. cover and let sit for at least 10 minutes, so as to activate the yeast.

Dice the sultanas into small pieces and mix into the other dry ingredients in a bowl. give a good mix.

Break in the egg and pour the milk mixture. add in the honey and the margarine. start to knead till the dough comes together.

Transfer the dough onto a dusted surface and work on it for at least 5 minutes, thoroughly. mould into a firm ball shape.

Transfer the dough into a greased container, spread the oil all round the ball and cover. let it proof for at least 30 minutes.

Cut the dough into equal sizes and roll to a 15 cm length

Hold up from the middle and twist them. Arrange them on a greased oven tray. Cover and allow to proof for at least another 15 minutes.

Make egg wash by beating 1 egg and 2 tbsp of milk

Brush the egg wash on the proofed dough shapes generously.

Reduce the heat to 160 degrees Celsius and bake them till they are golden brown. Remove from oven and brush over some margarine. Allow to cool.

Serve and enjoy.
