Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Peel and wash the potatoes & pointed gourd, cut them as shown below.
* Step 2
Rub some salt in the potatoes & pointed gourd then deep fry them in oil till they turn golden brown.
* Step 3
Then heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, add whole cumins, sliced onions, slitted green chillies & saute till onions turn translucent.
* Step 4
Then add ginger garlic paste, turmeric, red chilli powder, roasted cumin coriander powder, salt, sliced tomato, 1/2 cup water & stir.
* Step 5
Then add fried potatoes & pointed gourd & stir well. (If required you can add more water to have soft texture of the potato)
* Step 6
As oil floats in the mixture & water drains off add sweet yoghurt then add garam masala powder & stir.
* Step 7
Finish off with some chaat masala powder & take the dish off from heat source. And your delicious Potala Alu Kasa is ready to serve!
