Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak Urad dhal for 2 hours, drain the water and grind it to paste. Soak rice idli sooji in hot water for ten minutes and then mix it with urad dhal paste. Ferment the batter for 6 hours atleast. After fermentation add salt to the batter mix well.
* Step 2
Heat the oil in a pan season it with mustard seeds and turmeric. Put onion, potato, green chillis, dill leaves, saute well until they are cooked, add lemon juice and salt, mix well. Now stuffing subzi is ready. Make small flatterned round pieces of subzi as shown in picture-for stuffing in idlis.
* Step 3
Grease the idli plates with oil, fill plates half with idli batter- fill stuffing subzi and cover stuffing with half spoon of batter. Steam stuffed idlis in cooker for 15 minutes on sim heat. Turn off heat. Now STUFFED IDLIS are ready serve with coconut chutney.
