Hara Channa/Chick peas /Choliya
Hara Chana or popularly known as Choliya or Chick peas is a Winter Speciality of the North Indian. As the name suggests, the fresh green chickpeas are dark green , sweet and tender with pods and a delight to munch on. It is cooked with mild aromat spices ,marking it a perfect accompaniment with rotis or steamed rice on a rainy evening
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash the chickpeas and keep it aside.
* Step 2
In pressure cooker heat ghee.
* Step 3
Salute chopped onions till transparent.
* Step 4
Add tomatoes,ginger ;garlic and green chilli paste.
* Step 6
Cover and cook till oil leaves the sides of the pan.
* Step 7
Mix in between so that veggies are not stuck to the cooker :
* Step 8
Add potatoes, mix and saute for 5mins.
* Step 9
Add chickpeas, mix and saute for more 5mins.
* Step 10
Add enough water to soak the veggies.
* Step 11
Close the lid and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
* Step 13
Transfer in a serving dish.
* Step 14
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
