Another one of my Cooking Resolutions for 2023 is to share more meals with friends and this recipe is a great dish for doing just that. Labneh is yoghurt with salt stirred through which is then hung over night in a cloth. The result is a creamy savoury yoghurt spread you can top with sweet or savoury extras.

Ingredient

Food ration :

4-6 servings

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Place the yoghurt in a bowl, add the salt and stir well to combine

* Step 2

Place in a muslin cloth or clean jay cloth and tie together. Place in a colander over and bowl and leave in the fridge over night

* Step 3

The next day, remove from the fridge, squeeze the yoghurt gently to withdraw any extra liquid and discard any liquid in the bowl

* Step 4

Unwrap the labneh, place in a serving dish and top with olive oil and your choice of topping. Dukkah or za’atar works well. Eat with bread and other mezze ingredients
