Zesty sprout tops #cookeverypart
I love brussel sprouts so much, especially when you get the full tree. I ordered some from our local greengrocers and they gave me the full sprout top too! Rather than throw it away which I can imagine many people do, I decided to fry them off in some lemon and garlic ... the taste was surprising and completely different from sprouts themselves. They’re deliciously sweet 🥰 #cookeverypart
Ingredient

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Peer the leaves off the sprout top and slice them all down the middle. Finely slice a piece of garlic, into tiny matchsticks
* Step 2
Heat a tbsp olive oil over a medium heat and fry the garlic for 1 minute (be careful not to burn it). Then add the greens and fry for 3-4 minutes until starting to soften. Pop a lid on the frying pan for a couple of minutes to help the softening process.
* Step 3
Then remove from the heat, add seasoning and the lemon zest and juice. Serve with whatever you fancy - grilled chicken would be nice.
