Chocolate chip banana bread

As it warms up outside, so does my kitchen which means my bananas ripen faster than I can eat them so I decided to give banana bread a go for the first time. And since it’s Easter, I decided to thrown in some dark chocolate too.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat your over to 180 degrees and prepare your loaf tin by lining it with baking parchment.

* Step 2

Put the flour, sugar, bicarbonate soda and butter into a bowl and rub the butter into the dry ingredients. Then add the remaining wet ingredients, mash up the bananas and mix together into a thick paste.

* Step 3

Pour the mixture into your loaf tin and bake for 50 minutes.

* Step 4

Remove from the oven and pierce with a skewer to check it’s cooked. If it comes out clean, then remove from the tin, remove the baking parchment and leave to cool. If not, pop back into the oven for 5 more minutes.
