Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Fry bacon and render fat. Remove from pan.

* Step 2

Warm cream in pot with fresh thyme sprigs.

* Step 3

Line buttered pie dish with half of puff pastry.

* Step 4

Line pie dish with potato slices and season each layer and sprinkle with bacon.

* Step 5

Pour over thyme cream.

* Step 6

Top with cheese.

* Step 7

Cover with pastry and crimp and fold edges with thumb.

* Step 8

Cover with eggwash and cut vents.

* Step 9

Pie dish onto baking sheet.

* Step 10

Cook for 1 hour at 180 C.

* Step 11

If edges get too dark, can cover with foil.

* Step 12

Rest 15 mins before serving with green sald.
