Green peas Paratha

A paratha made with seasonally available fresh green peas.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Sift wheat flour and soya flour in a bowl

* Step 2

Knead soft dough with a water

* Step 3

Add 1tsp ghee and knead again, cover and keep it covered for 15 minutes.

* Step 4

For stuffing, grind green peas, green chilli and ginger coarsely

* Step 5

In a fry pan, take 2 tbsps ghee, heat it on medium flame, add cumin seeds and carom seeds. After seeds crackle, add grounded green peas and stir-fry for five minutes.

* Step 6

Add chilli powder, salt, asafoetida, coriander powder, cumin powder, one pinch sugar and mix thoroughly.

* Step 7

Add chick peas flour and cook for a minute. Then remove the contents of the pan in a bowl and let it cool.

* Step 8

Now take dough and knead again.

* Step 9

Take ball sized dough and flatten it by hand. Make bowl shape of flattened dough using fingers, fill a tablespoon of green peas mixture and close it at perifery.

* Step 10

Now roll paratha lightly with the help of dusting flour. When paratha is of a desired size, roast it on a tava on medium flame.

* Step 11

Apply ghee and roast again on both sides till paratha is golden in colour.

* Step 12

Serve these yummy parathas with a lump of fresh butter, curd and pickles.
