Apple Pie Custard Ice-cream cube's

I made 2 Apple and Cinnamon big Pie's - the first One I over baked - I baked the Pastry form as shown - for 55 minutes, but the cooked Pastry around the edges became very brown and the cooked Pastry tasted over baked . The Second big Apple Pie ( exactly the same size ) as shown in my Photo - I baked between 45 - 50 minutes. I did not use Cornflour in the making of my homemade Custard because I froze the Custard into the form of Ice-cubes

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat oven to Gas Mark 6. The Packaging of the Shop bought already rolled out Shortcrust Pastry does say that the oven temperature needs to be at Gas Mark 6.

* Step 2

Unravel One Packet already rolled out Shortcrust Pastry onto a kitchen side with it's baking Parchment Paper underneath and then form 2 mounds of Apple Sauce onto the raw Pastry and then unravel the other Packet of Shortcrust Pastry over the top and then use a short sharp Kitchen knife too cut down the middle and then use scissors too cut away the Baking Parchment Paper

* Step 3

Place your own Baking Parchment Paper onto your Baking Tray and then put your One raw Pastry Pie onto the baking tray with it's own Baking Parchment Paper underneath and then milk wash first maybe and then use a Dinner Fork too make Fork marks around all 4 corners and then sprinkle One tablespoon of White Sugar over the top. Bake in the oven at Gas Mark 6 for 45 minutes

* Step 4

Too make the homemade custard add 4 egg yolks too a mixing bowl and then add 100g of White Sugar - mix - and then add One Pint - 500ml - of hot milk too the sugary egg yolks and then transfer too a saucepan and keep stirring on a low simmer until the mix thicken's and then turn the hob off and then allow the Custard too cool and then transfer too a Ice-cube utensil and then freeze in the Freezer

* Step 5

Eat the cooked Apple Pie hot straight from the oven or allow the cooked Apple Pie to get cold and either way - serve with your own Custard Ice-cream - in the form of Ice-cubes
