Beef Stew
Easy set-it-and-forget it beef stew recipe.

Cooking instructions
* Step 2
Heat the olive oil in large pot over medium-high heat. Add stew meat, carrots, onions, salt, and black pepper. Cook until meat is seared, onions are translucent and carrots are slightly browned.
* Step 3
Pour ingredients from pot into a roasting pan with lid. Return pot to high heat and pour red wine into it, deglazing pot and scraping fond from bottom of pot. Add broth and fresh herbs. Boil for one minute.
* Step 4
Pour liquid over ingredients in roasting pan. Cover and roast for 4 hours. Remove sprigs of rosemary and thyme. Optionally, whisk in flour ten minutes before done to thicken. Remove from oven.
* Step 5
Pour over mashed potatoes or egg noodles and enjoy!
