Finger foods are great option for those small recesses during long school hours. Try these for an interesting way for kids to enjoy their snacks.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Boil 1 cup water in a small deep saucepan. Add tablespoon of oil. Mix.
* Step 2
Immediately add chakali flour and stir well for a minute.
* Step 3
Lower the flame. Cover the the saucepan and let mixture steam for 5 minutes. Switch off gas.
* Step 4
Add kalonji, ajwain, red chilli powder, coriander powder, sesame seeds, and knead the mixture while it's still warm. Add hot water if the mixture is dry.
* Step 5
Make small balls/peda of the dough and roll them into long finger like shapes.
* Step 6
Heat enough oil to deep fry the chakali fingers. Keep the flame medium high.
* Step 7
Drop them carefully in the hot oil and fry till they are evenly browned from all sides. Keep turning them at intervals to prevent overbrowning or charring.
* Step 8
Remove them with slotted spatula on to a dish covered with paper napkins to drain excess oil.
* Step 9
Cool them and transfer to the tiffinbox with your choice of condiment.
