Turkish salad πŸ₯—

Taste of turkey: this Turkish white bean salad is called ' piyaz', it's an easy, tasty, delicious side dish that pairs very nicely with many Mediterranean flavors. Enjoy, Course : salad, Cuisine: Turkish, Diet : vegetarian, gluten free, nutrients value: vitaminB, C, E K, folate, fiber, protein.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash and Soak white kidney beans for 8 hrs, boil white beans with 1/2 tsp salt πŸ§‚, cook till done, (don't over cook them), drain water and keep aside. If using canned white kidney beans, also drain them and keep aside.

* Step 2

For boiled white beans: heat sunflower oil 🌻, add cumin seeds when start to crackle, add boiled white beans saute for 3 mins, add black pepper powder and mix well, keep aside and let it cool completely.

* Step 3

In a large bowl πŸ₯£, add sauted white beans, tomato diced πŸ…, thinly sliced onions πŸ§…, green chillies juliennes, freshly chopped parsley 🌱, stir well gently and set aside.

* Step 4

For Dressing: in a bowl πŸ₯£, mix Aleppo pepper 🌢️, salt πŸ§‚, lemon juice πŸ‹ and olive oil and pour it on the salad πŸ₯—, toss the salad with the dressing and refrigerate for 20- 30 mins, serve as side dish.

* Step 5

Serve with: Grilled chicken πŸ—, shish kebabs.

* Step 6

If using canned white kidney beans: don't saute them, use method (3), for dressing use method (4) and serve.
