Pan-fried Broccoli with Cheesy Sauce

Pan-fried Broccoli with Cheesy Sauce

Steam-frying using a frying pan is my favourite method to cook Broccoli. This ‘Cheesy Sauce’ is absolutely easy to make. This can be a great side dish, but I actually often cook it for my lunch.

Ingredient

Food ration :

4 servings
1 tablespoon

Oil of your choice

2 pinches

Salt

2-3 tablespoons

Water

10 g

Butter

1 tablespoon

Plain Flour

1/2 cup

Milk

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Drizzle Oil over a frying pan and arrange Broccoli pieces. Sprinkle with Garlic, Water and Salt. Cover with a lid and cook over medium heat for a few minutes.

* Step 2

When Water is evaporated, remove the lid and stir-fry until slightly browned. Transfer to a serving plate.

* Step 3

Meanwhile, make Cheesy Sauce. Melt Butter in a small saucepan over medium low heat, add Flour and stir. Add Milk, bring to the boil, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Add Cheese and season with Salt and Black Pepper.

* Step 4

Pour the Cheesy Sauce over the Broccoli, add extra Black Pepper if you like it, and serve.
