Salted Cucumber & Shiso Salad

You need ‘Green Shiso’ leaves to make this salad. Alternatively ‘Perilla’ that has similar scent can be used. I used to have so much difficulties to find ‘Shiso’ but now I am growing it in my garden and a pot. I bought seeds of ‘Aojiso’, Japanese Green Shiso, from a store in NSW on eBay. If you like ‘Shiso’, why don’t you try growing it yourself?

Ingredient

Food ration :

4 servings
1/4 teaspoon

Salt

1-2 teaspoons

Sesame Oil

1 pinch

Sugar

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cut Cucumber in quarter lengthways and cut diagonally. Or cut it as you like. Sprinkle Salt and massage, then set aside.

* Step 2

Add all other ingredients and mix to combine.
